Concrete coring in San Diego is the process of drilling precise holes through concrete walls, floors and many other concrete structures. Concrete coring is the most commonly recognized use of any diamond-tipped concrete cutting tool. Concrete core drills also known as core rigs can be operated with limitless orientation, vertical, horizontal, and even upside down thru ceilings. Our drill bits consist of a steel tube with diamond segments brazed or laser welded on the drilling end.
Quality concrete core drills are attached to a secured stand on a wall or floor with a concrete anchor and a bolt. There are also concrete core drills that use vacuum pressure to attach to a floor. Concrete core drill bits can range in diameter from half an inch to seventy-two inches in diameter and drilling depths are close to unlimited due to the use of extensions. A completely solid and cylindrical boulder or core of concrete is removed from the hole after the drilling is complete.

Wall Sawing – The track-mounted wall saw is a quick, clean method of creating larger openings. Wall or track saws need a circular diamond-tipped blade atop a track-mounted machine. The track is connected to horizontal walls or steep tilts that will not allow the proper function of floor saws, hence the necessity of the saws. Wall sawing is usually specified to cut precise functional holes such as dimensional doors, vents and also window openings. It’s an great choice for creating perfectly measured openings in any concrete structure.
Wire Sawing – This is perfect for getting rid of large sections of heavily reinforced concrete, such as piers, towers and bridge sections. Also cutting concrete in areas where workspace is restricted. Wire saws are diamond-covered wire fed through a series of pulleys to produce a cutting facility to handle any depth or shape of concrete structure with zero vibration, noise, and dust. Since almost no concrete structure or cross-section is too large to cut, this method is primarily used when other cutting methods are impractical.
Our most favorable tools to use are the EZ drill and the Gang drill, the ladder of the two is a drilling machine having a number of separately driven vertical spindles in a row, its basically a multi-head drill secured to a common framework for joint rotation therewith. The former is a mobile drill used for smaller drilling operations, its quick set up enables the job to be performed at a very speedy rate.
